B: Certainly. What size do you take?
A: I think I’m a ten.
B: What colour do you want?
A: I don’t really know.
B: Here, try on this pair of loafers.
A: They don’t fit; they’re too big. Do you have the next size
down?
B: Unfortunately not. Why don’t you try the department store
next door?

A: Excuse me, do you sell wool sweaters with pockets?
B: Yes, we do. They’re over there with the winter clothes. Can
you see them?
A: Yes. I like those dark blue ones. Can I try on this one? It’s
beautiful.
B: Of course. The fitting rooms are next to the escalator.
A: I’ll take two of them. And a pair of trousers.
B: That comes to eighty-eight pounds. How do you want to
pay?
A: Cash. Here’s ninety.
B: Here’s your change and your receipt.

B: The laser one is three hundred pounds and the ink-jet one
costs two hundred.
A: What about this one?
B: It’s not for sale. But this old one is on sale: it’s marked

B: Try the health and beauty section over here, on the left.

B : Quelle couleur voulez-vous ?
A : Je ne sais vraiment pas.
B : Voici, essayez cette paire de mocassins.
A : Elles ne sont pas à ma taille, elles sont trop grandes. Avez-
vous la pointure en dessous ?
B : Malheureusement non. Pourquoi n’essayez-vous pas le
grand magasin à côté ?

A : Excusez-moi, est-ce que vous vendez des pulls en laine
avec des poches ?
B : Oui. Ils sont là-bas avec les vêtements d’hiver. Vous les
voyez ?
A : Oui. J’aime bien ceux en bleu foncé. Est-ce que je peux
essayer celui-ci ? Il est très beau.
B : Bien sûr. Les cabines d’essayage sont à côté de l’escalator.
A : Je vais en prendre deux. Et un pantalon.
B : Cela fera £88. Comment voulez-vous régler ?
A : En espèces. Voici 90.
B : Et voici votre monnaie et votre reçu.
