P: What’s your name?
J: My name’s Jane. What’s your name?
P: My name’s Peter.
J: Where are you from?
P: I’m from Scotland but I live in Paris. And you?
J: I’m from Sydney, Australia. I’m here on holiday.
P: Oh, that’s great! I’m here on business.
J: What’s your job?
P: I’m an IT sales manager, and what about you?
J: I’m a marketing director.
P: Is it an interesting job?
J: Yes, it’s not too bad.
P: Is this your first visit to London?
J: Yes, it is. What about you?
P: I come to London quite often, because I’ve got good
friends here. I visit them every year.
J: How wonderful!
P: Is that your husband over there?
J: Yes, that’s my husband, James. He’s in computers too. Is
your wife with you?
P: No, she isn’t.
J: Oh, that’s a shame! Are there many interesting things to
do in London!
P: Oh, yes, there are.
J: James and I are going sightseeing on Saturday afternoon.
P: How nice!
J: On Friday we’re going shopping.
P: On Friday I’m going to a business meeting.
J: On Sunday morning we’re having lunch in Covent
Garden.
P: That’s nice! How long are you staying in London?
J: We’re leaving on Monday, and you?
P: I’m leaving either on Tuesday or on Wednesday. I’m not
sure, but I must be back home on Thursday.
J: Let me introduce you to my husband. James, this is Peter.
Peter, this is my husband, James.
P: Nice to meet you!
