B: No but you can have some coffee.
A: Thank you. Are there any eggs?
B: No, but I have some bacon.

B: How about a cup of coffee?
A: White with two sugars please.
B: I’m afraid I haven’t got any milk.
A few drinks
A: Darling, there’s no butter or yoghurt in the fridge.
B: Sorry, love. I didn’t go shopping yesterday.
A: But I asked you to go to the supermarket after work.
B: I know, but I didn’t leave the office until nine. Then I went
for a drink with some of the guys from the office.
B: You didn’t go to the Red Lion, did you?
A: I’m afraid I did. But I only had a few beers, honestly And I
had a little whiskey, too. In fact, four whiskeys.
The UK game show
A: How many counties are there in Great Britain?
B: I think that there are eighty-six.
A: You’re right! How much tea do the British drink each year?
B: I’m not sure. Around eighty thousand gallons?
A: Correct! How many people live in the London area?
B: Too many. There’s too much population!

The West End
A: The West End is a very popular part of London.
B: There are lots of Theatres, cinemas and restaurants.
A: Thousands of people come to the area by car.
B: So, there is always a lot of traffic, especially during the rush
hour.
A: I don’t understand why they call it the “rush hour”. No one
can move!
B: That’s why they take the Tube.
