A: We’re going to move next week if we like the place but today we must decide where to put our furniture and things. I’m excited. I love decorating, choosing colours and stuff like that.
B: I hate moving. It’s tiring and there’s always so much to do.
A: You’re wrong. It’s exciting. Now shut up and help me! Let’s place the old sofa there, against the wall, our two armchairs here, by the window, and the coffee table in the middle of the room. What’s up Steve? Why are you looking at me like that?
B: We’ve got too much stuff. Where are we going to put everything?
A: Stop complaining. You’re going to make me angry!
B: What are we going to dowith our books? We’ve got hundreds!
A: We can put four bookcases in the corners of the living room.
B: I suppose so. But what about the fridge and the cooker? Where are we going to put them?
A: In the kitchen, silly. Where else? Which room do you want for your office?
B: The spare room. My desk and computer can go in front of the window. And I’m going to put the printer behind the door.
A: What else can we decide? I know: what colour are we going to paint the flat? What about blue?
B: Hang on. What’s that noise outside? It’s really really loud!
A: Oh no, we’re next to Heathrow airport! There’s a plane every five minutes!

A : Nous allons déménager la semaine prochaine si nous aimons l’endroit, mais aujourd’hui nous devons décider où mettre nos meubles et nos affaires. Je suis excitée. J’adore décorer, choisir les couleurs et des trucs comme ça.
B : Je déteste déménager. C’est fatigant et il y a toujours tant à faire !
A : Tu as tort. C’est passionnant. Maintenant, tais-toi et aide-moi ! Plaçons le vieux canapé là, contre le mur, et nos deux fauteuils ici, près de la fenêtre et de la table basse au centre de la pièce. Qu’y a-t-il Steve ? Pourquoi me regardes-tu comme ça ?
B : Nous avons trop de trucs. Où allons-nous tout mettre ?
A : Arrête de te plaindre. Tu vas me mettre en colère !
B : Qu’allons-nous faire de nos livres ? Nous en avons des centaines !
A : Nous pouvons installer quatre bibliothèques dans les angles du salon.
B : Je suppose. Mais que faire du frigo et de la cuisinière ? Où allons-nous les mettre ?
A : Dans la cuisine, idiot. A quel autre endroit ? Quelle pièce veux-tu pour ton bureau ?
B : La chambre d’amis. Mon bureau et mon ordinateur peuvent aller devant la fenêtre. Et je mettrai l’imprimante derrière la porte.
A : Que peut-on décider d’autre ? Je sais : de quelle couleur allons-nous peindre l’appartement ? Pourquoi pas en bleu ?
B : Attends… Qu’est-ce que c’est que ce bruit dehors ? C’est très très fort !
A : Ah non, nous sommes à côté de l’aéroport de Heathrow ! Il y a un avion toutes les cinq minutes !
