Kate: Hello, Kate Hewitt speaking.
Molly: Hi Kate, it’s Molly.
K: Ah, Molly...! How wonderful to hear from you! It seems
ages since we last spoke.
M: It is, Kate, it is! So how are you, anyway?
K: Oh, I’m busy. Just got home, in fact. But I’m fine, really
fine!
M: So when are you going to come up and see me in Leeds,
then? There are some great clubs, you know!
K: I’m sure there are Molly, and I’m sure you’ve tested them
all, but I really can’t get away from Norwich before the
50th anniversary celebrations in May.
M: God, you’ll be glad when they’re over, won’t you?!
K: Well, yes and no. It’s true they’re giving me a lot of work,
but at the same time, it’s great organising everything…
M: And you’re the only person working on them?!
K: In Norwich yes, but I report to someone down in Bristol
who gives me constant advice and support.
M: Who’s that, then?
K: Fiona Richards, from Marketing… Do you know her?
M: No, I don’t.
K: She’s a great person to work with, very experienced… and Alexander Spencer-Jones thinks very highly of her…
M: What, you mean they’re…?
K: It wouldn’t surprise me… I had lunch with them when I first
started working on the project, and I can tell you, they get
on very well together!
M: Well, good for them!
K: Hey listen, Molly, why don’t you come down to Norwich for
the celebrations? I can get you a free ticket for the grand
charity concert on the Saturday evening…
M: Surely if it’s a charity concert, you shouldn’t be giving away
free tickets, Kate!
K: Maybe not, Molly, but you can sponsor me for my charity
run on the Friday afternoon!
M: But I’d never be able to come down on the Friday, I’ve got
too much work on my plate.
K: You wouldn’t need to be there. You just go on our website, www.nnuggets.co.uk, click on “50th Anniversary
Celebrations”, and you’ll find everything you always
wanted to know about the event, including how to
sponsor me!
M: Remind me again of the dates. I’m going to check my
diary.
K: It’s Friday 16th and Saturday 17th May. I’ll put you up, of
course!
M: OK, Kate, you’re on! For the Saturday, at least. I’m looking
forward to it!
K: So am I! It’s going to be a lot of fun. And after the concert
on Saturday evening, United Chocolate is organising a big
party for everyone involved… And I’ll invite you to that, of
course!
M: Sounds great! OK Kate, I’ll let you get on with your dinner.

K: Ah, Molly…! Quel plaisir d’avoir de tes nouvelles ! On dirait
que ça fait une éternité que nous nous sommes parlé pour
la dernière fois.
M : Mais ça fait une éternité, Kate, ça fait une éternité ! Alors,
comment ça va ?
K : Oh, j’ai beaucoup de travail. En fait, je viens de rentrer. Mais
je vais bien, très bien !
M : Alors, dans ce cas, quand est-ce que tu viens me voir à
Leeds ? Tu sais, il y a des clubs super.
K : J’en suis sûre, Molly, et je suis sûre que tu les as tous testés,
mais je ne peux vraiment pas m’absenter de Norwich avant
les célébrations du 50eanniversaire en mai.
M : Oh là là, tu vas être contente quand elles seront finies, non
?
K : En fait, oui et non. C’est vrai qu’elles me donnent
beaucoup de boulot, mais en même temps, ça me plaît
vraiment de tout organiser…
M : Et tu es la seule à travailler là-dessus ?!
K : À Norwich, oui, mais je dépends de quelqu’un à Bristol, qui
me conseille et me soutient en permanence.

K : C’est une super collègue, avec plein d’expérience…, et

K : Ça ne m’étonnerait pas… J’ai déjeuné avec eux quand j’ai
commencé à travailler sur le projet, et je peux te dire qu’ils
s’entendent très bien !

K : Écoute, Molly, pourquoi tu ne viens pas à Norwich pour les
célébrations ? Je peux t’avoir une entrée gratuite pour le
grand concert de bienfaisance le samedi soir…
M : Mais si c’est un concert de bienfaisance, tu ne devrais pas
distribuer d’entrées gratuites, Kate !
K : Peut-être pas, Molly, mais tu peux me sponsoriser pour ma
course à pied pour une œuvre caritative le vendredi après-
midi !
M : Mais je ne pourrais jamais aller le vendredi. J’ai trop de
pain sur la planche.
