B: This way, gentlemen… Are you ready to order?
A: Yes, we are. I’ll have a full English breakfast, with a mug of
tea, please.
B: Very good. And for you, sir?
C: Just a cup of white coffee and some bread and butter.
B: Anything else?
A: No, thanks. I don’t have much time.
B: Enjoy your meal.
A: Can we have the bill, please? I’m in a hurry.
B: Sure. That’s twenty pounds and sixteen pence. You can
pay at the counter. Have a nice day.
A: Thanks. You too.
In a coffee shop
Waiter: Hi! What can I get you? We have a wide selection of
hot and cold drinks, like espresso, decaf and regular
coffee. And to eat we have pancakes, pastries and
muffins. Try these chocolate biscuits.
Customer: I can’t eat too much sugar or too many calories.
Just a glass of water, please. And the free wifi
password.
Waiter: Oh, okay. Small, medium or large water?
In a pub
Barman: Who’s next?
Customer: Me. A pint of bitter, please.
B: Anything to eat? There are lots of things on the menu.
Today we have steak and chips, sausage and beans and
fried chicken. Our meatloaf is really tasty as well.
Everything is home-made.
C: I don’t eat meat, and there aren’t many veggie dishes.
Can I have a cheese sandwich without salt or pepper?
B: Yes, of course. Here you are. That’ll be nine sixty please.
C: I don’t have any cash. Can I pay you tomorrow?
B: Of course not! You can pay now, by cheque or card.

C : Juste une tasse de café au lait et du pain et du beurre.
B : Autre chose ?
A : Non, merci. Je n’ai pas beaucoup de temps.
B : Bon appétit.
A : Pouvons-nous avoir l’addition, s’il vous plaît ? Je suis
pressé.
B : Bien sûr. Ça fera 20 livres et 16 pence. Vous pouvez payer
au comptoir. Bonne journée.
A : Merci. Vous aussi.
Au coffee-shop
Serveur : Bonjour ! Qu’est-ce que je peux vous servir ? Nous
avons une large sélection de boissons chaudes et froides,
comme expresso, déca ou café normal. Et pour manger,
nous avons des crêpes, des pâtisseries et des muffins. Goutez ces biscuits au chocolat !
Client : Je ne peux pas manger trop de sucre ni trop de
calories. Juste un verre d’eau, s’il vous plaît. Et le code wifi

Serveur : Ah, d’accord. Petite, moyenne ou grande, l’eau ?

Barman : C’est à qui ?
Client : A moi ! Une pinte de bière brune, svp.
