A MESS
A: Ian, this room is a mess! Look at all these clothes! There are
socks, shirts, ties, shorts, vests and trousers everywhere. You
and your brother are so untidy – especially you!
B: No, we’re not! We’re just a little disorganised.
A: Whose are these jeans on the chair? They’re yours, aren’t
they?
B: They aren’t mine, honestly. Those are Sandy’s jeans.
A: There isn’t any space at all on this floor! And whose is this
leather jacket under the bed?
B: I think that it’s mine.
A: No it’s not. That’s your brother’s favourite jacket. I recognise
it.
B: Are you sure it’s his? It’s too small for Sandy.
A: What colour is yours?
B: Sorry, my mistake. It is his. Mine’s black– and Sandy’s is dirty.
A: Sarah has a jacket like that as well, but hers is grey. Anyway,
Sarah’s not like you. Your sister’s tidy.
B: Actually I’m really very organised. I know where everything is.
A: You’re joking Ian! That’s ridiculous.
B: No I’m not. If everything’s on the floor, then I know where it is.
I’m not untidy, I’m just creative.
A: Oh no you’re not! You’re messy. In future, it’s your job to do
the housework.
