A. Hello, welcome to the gym.
B. Hello; I’m interested in signing up for a membership.
A. Great! Do you want to sign up for this branch?
B. Yes. I also work in the city so I want to know if I can also
work out there with a single membership?
A; Yes, you can. You can work out at any of our gyms in the
city.
B. That’s wonderful! How much does it cost?
A. The fee is 60 pounds a month but if you sign up for 6
months, we will give you 20% discount.
B. That sounds good. I think I’ll sign up for 6 months.
(At the work out)
A. Hi jimmy I didn’t know you worked out here.
B. Yeah, I do! What are you working now?
A. Today is my cardio and arms day. I’m going to jog for a
while and then work on my arms. How about you?
A. I’m working on my abs and legs today. I’ll be doing a lot of
squats and sit ups.
A. Nice. Do you want to stretch together afterwards?
A. Sure. I’ll see you later. Have a good work out.

A. Hello I would like to sign up for some fitness classes.
B. Great! What would you like to do? We have a lot of
classes.
A. I’m not sure. What kind of classes do you have?
B. We have a lot of dance classes, yoga, light weight classes
and cardio.
A. I think I would like to join the cardio and yoga classes.
B. We have a 7 am cardio class and a 6pm yoga class.
A. Can you sign me up for both please?

John. Hello Peter. What have you been doing with yourself
lately?
Peter. Not much as I’m busy at work, so I have started
exercising.
J. Oh, are you trying to get in shape?
P. Not really, as I’m quite trim at the moment, I just want to
improve my health.
J. Yes, that’s a good idea I need too as well. What are you
doing?
P. I’m going to the gym and doing weights and running on
the treadmill.
J. I think I need to be careful with what I eat, it will help me
keep in shape.
P. Did you know that sleep is good for your health? I have
heard that people who sleep for an average of eight hours
a day, will have less health problems?
J. That's good to know. There are a lot of things we can do
to stay healthy.
P. Yes, that’s true! It will be worth it in the long run. When you
get older, it is important to be healthy and active.

le tapis roulant.
J. Je pense que je dois faire attention à ce que je mange, cela
m’aidera à rester en forme.
P. Saviez-vous que le sommeil est bon pour la santé ? J’ai
entendu dire que les gens qui dorment en moyenne huit
heures par jour, auront moins de problèmes de santé ?
J. C’est bon à savoir. Il y a beaucoup de choses que nous
pouvons faire pour rester en forme.
