A MOVIE STAR
A: Guess what? I saw Matt Madon the day before yesterday!
B: Did you? You lucky thing! What was he like?
A: If you must know, he was a bit disappointing.
B: Come on, are you telling me the truth?
A: Of course I am. He was shorter than I imagined. I thought he was taller than me, but he wasn’t. He was also older and fatter. In fact he was ugly, with horrible teeth!
B: Was he? What a shame! I liked him when he was younger and slimmer, in that movie Sad Lunchtime.
A: Yeah, that was brilliant. He was a big star, bigger than Billy Bell. He was married to Jade Jones and I think he was happier. But she died in a car crash. Much later, he starred in a disaster movie with his sixth wife, but it flopped.
B: Is that right? I don’t remember that one.
A: Don’t you? It was awful – or disastrous! Anyway, his films got more expensive and the budgets became bigger.
B: Yes, they were more commercial – and much longer, too. Did you see the last one, The Longest and Darkest Night?
A: No, I didn’t. When did it come out?
B: It came out a couple of years ago but I watched it on video. It wasn’t bad. It was more unusual and more interesting than Sad Lunchtime. But it was much less entertaining and less funny. It had a happy ending, though: the audience cheered when it finished.

UNE VEDETTE DE CINEMA
A : Tu sais quoi ? J’ai vu Matt Madon avant-hier !
B : Ah bon ? Veinarde !
A : Ouais, c’était génial.
A : An bon ?
A : Non.
