A NOSY FRIEND
A: Where did you golast night, Paul? You didn’t answer my calls.
B: We went to that new Italian restaurant in Charing Cross.
A: How was it? I read that it was incredibly popular.
B: You can say that again! It was packed and very very noisy. You could see dozens of servers, but they were too busy to take our order.
A: What a pity! What was the food like?
B: It was nothing special, and the portions were tiny!
A: Most of the restaurants in the area are like that. What did you eat?
B: For a starter I ordered a tomato and green pepper salad, which tasted quite nice but wasn’t very fresh. For the main course, I chose a fillet steak, but it was tough and smelled bad. I didn’t have a pudding because I felt fulland I couldn’t eat anything else.
A: Goodness, it sounds terrible! Poor you! Who did you go with?
B: I went with a girl who you don’t know.
A: Where does she come from?
B: That’s none of your business. What are you smiling at?
A: I know who you went with. Your photo was on Facebook.
B: You’re impossible to talk to. I’m going home.
A: Okay. See you.

UN AMI CURIEUX
A : Où es-tu allé hier soir, Paul ? Tu n’as pas répondu à mes appels.
A : Quel dommage !
A : Mon Dieu, ça a l’air horrible ! Pauvre toi !
Pourquoi souris-tu ?
A : Je sais avec qui tu y es allé. Votre photo était sur Facebook.
B : Il est impossible de te parler. Je rentre chez moi.
A : Ok. A plus.
